Problem & Question |
Getting rid of the fleas from hell. Occasionally property managers have noticed that even though they have installed new carpet, the fleas soon re-appear. How is that possible and where are they coming from? |
|
Solution |
After removing the old carpeting be very sure to super clean the floor below. Flea eggs scatter to the edges under the base boards and around the tack strip. Often when the new carpet is installed, the carpet layers drag it up side down when making their cuts. Unknowingly, they are dragging old flea eggs and larvae right on to the carpet. We recommend vacuuming and mopping the underlayment. It will save you money and keep the new tenants happy. |
